The fourth edition of Fly Athens 2025 by Candy Clima took place in front of the the historic Panathenaic Stadium on Sunday, July 6, bringing together an exceptional group of athletes for one of the most anticipated pole vault events of the year.
In the men’s competition, Emmanouil Karalis (GRE) thrilled the home crowd with a 6.00m clearance, setting a new meeting record (MR). He then attempted 6.10m – a height he didn’t clear at Fly Athens 2025, but one he clearly showed he’s capable of achieving soon. Kurtis Marschall (AUS) followed with 5.93m, his season’s best, and also made attempts at 6.00m.
Thibaut Collet (FRA), Ioannis Rizos (GRE – PB), Bo Kanda Lita Baehre (GER – =SB), Ben Broeders (BEL) and Bokai Huang (CHN – =SB) all cleared 5.73m.
In the women’s event, Molly Caudery (GBR) confirmed her top form with a 4.80m jump, also a meeting record (MR). Juliana de Menis Campos (BRA) achieved a new personal best at 4.68m, and Hanga Klekner (HUN) set a new Hungarian national record with 4.58m. The field also saw solid performances from Elien Vekemans (BEL – 4.63m) and Chunge Niu (CHN – 4.58m).
